I was publically reprooved for being raped by my apt mgr when I went to pay my rent. Massive shame. I was gagged by the committee, do not speak about this to anyone. My mother never got over it. THanks witlessess!

what is the dumbest thing you've been reproved/chided/df'd for?
by rather be in hades ini'm a big science nerd and i remember when we were going over the creator book, that the big bang doesn't necessarily prove there is no god.. i said this comment during book study and the conductor's jaw dropped.
everyone was pretty uncomfortable and it didn't help that he ct me off as i was explaining the red shift and mom wasn't too happy about all that.
i had to do a lot of bible research and write some nonsense about how the big bang was not reality or some sort...ugh.. .

Awkward, but kinda funny encounter with JWs today
by hemp lover ini live in a majority-minority neighborhood, so i get the double witness whammy of my street being worked by both spanish- and english-speaking congregations.
jws come to my door about four times a year, but i stopped answering years ago.
what's interesting is that about two years ago, they stopped knocking on my door or ringing the doorbell.

King Solomen, It was not Southwest but there are a lot of gays at every airline (maybe not air Iran). I love these people I fly with. They are funny, loving, a hoot to party with and some of the best friends you can ever have.

Rick Fearon And Those Who Knew His Wife Inez

i've known their cousins, uncles, daughters, nephews, etc.. i know that rick can't post here and i understand the reasons.. i just wanted to say that rick has suffered a terrible loss and he dearly loved his ill wife, inez.. i want to thank mouthy for letting us know about what happened to inez a couple of weeks ago!
and i hope that we can show kindness and caring for rick during his time of grief and sorrow..

I don't know anything about him but I know that grief is horrible. I would advise him to get professional counseling, possible short term meds and most importantly....don't do anything big in your life for at least one year.

Years ago after I divorced my jw husband I was buying a latte b4 boarding and working a flight. My ex was outed to the elders but expressed repentance (actually he had been outed 2 yrs bfor and the elders said since he was repentant I would not have biblical bases for divorcing him. So in my shock and hurt I stayed. It was never the same after that and I soon found out from workmates that his encouters were becoming more open. I also finally learned that he's always had a secret life but besides being shocked out of my gourd that he had been using the money I made..I handed over my paychecks....good jw wife...and put us in deep debt. I am sorry he lived with such shame...he has his own story..but deceit was not what I wanted in a husband nor the likelyhood of aids being given to me). No one in the Cong knew why we got a divorce...the elders didn't want people to think badly of him. Soooo needing a scapegoat people thought badly of me. He was also a flight attendant where I worked. Soooooo, back to the main story. As my coffee was being made a pod of girl jws approached me. (Me--rolling eyes mentally) They asked me if I was a flight attendand for brand x. Their faces were so giddily happy. Do you know D..................... I said "oh yes, quite well". They asked if he was as nice at work as well as off work. I said, "I've known him since we were twelve yrs old and I know him more than any of you ever will because I was married to him for 18yrs." You would have thought I'd pulled off a face mask and looked like an 100yr old demonic Gary Busey. The all just froze. I took my coffee and wished them a good day then walked away getting back to real life. I bet that was a big story with many exagerations for months in the car groups. I hope they had a great time.

Oh so what. My mother went to the SanPedro Cong in CA. Every Saturday we'd go down to clean and especiall the entry. It was an old movie theatre with the little ticket seller in a glass box out front. It was a favorite place for homeless and bums to sleep and take a piss. Every Saturday was piss smell removal day.

Greetings! My first post

i have been a lurker here the last few months and have been going through the process of researching both sides of the story of jehovahs witnesses.
i was raised in the borg, got married and now have a young child.. my wife is very much dedicated to the organization and will justify anything the "slave" does putting it off on the borgs imperfection.

jgnaut, great advice!!!! As far as "drink the blood of Christ" you have to remember that drinking blood as a sacrement existed long before the Christianity version. It is just another copycat like adopting xmas, Easter, the epic of Gilgamesh/Noah's flood. None of it is other than man made.

My neighbors made a comment that the dubs don't even attempt to come down my driveway. Perhaps it's the 6ft chain link fence with a lock on it, (which my friends call "the witness protection program") or the sign that says "dog on premises" or the sign that says,"nothing in this house is worth dying for". Or maybe because when my mother was dying they were nothing but a pain inthe ass trying to protect her from a blood transfusion. No help at all. When my brother died I told the elder that noone thought to pay respects, nothing. However who really came through for him and me was the United States Marine Corps. "The bible says you will know the truth because of the love that they have..." Quite frankly I don't see in at all in the organization. Not one has come back. I'm not DAd. I just stopped. I would not step foot in a KH ever again. I think it could really make me throw up.
